INVITE CO-TEACHERS TO YOUR CLASS

Co-teachers are able to have the same access to a class as yourself. They can set up posts, view work, leave feedback, marks and view Rubric reports. They cannot however delete a class or mute another teacher. You can only invite co-teachers with an @fosbrookfolkeducation.org.uk email. If you need to add an external teacher please email support with your request and reasoning for an exception rule to be added. This can only be done by system administrators.

INVITE CO-TEACHERS (DESKTOP)

1. Go to classroom.google.com.

2. Click the class -> People.

3. Click Invite teachers .

You can invite individual teachers or a group. (A list of groups can be obtained from the Admin console if you are an administrator or directly from a Workspace administrator.

4. Enter the email address of the teacher or group.
As you enter text, Classroom shows matching addresses that you can choose from.

5. From the list, click a teacher or group.

6. (Optional) To invite more teachers or groups, repeat steps 4–5.

7.Click Invite.

ACCEPT AN INVITATION TO CO-TEACH (DESKTOP)

Invited teachers get an email asking them to co-teach your class. To join the class, the invited teacher must click a link in the email, or sign in to Classroom and click Accept on the class card.

1. Tap Classroom .

2. Tap the class -> People

3. Tap Invite teachers .
You can invite individual teachers or a group.

4. Enter the email address of the teacher or group.

5. Tap the name or email.

6. (Optional) To invite more teachers or groups, repeat steps 4–5.

7. Tap Invite.

CLASS SIZES AND LIMITS

At the time of writing (April 2021), we currently subscribe to Workspace for Education Fundamentals. The following user limits apply to classes within Google Classroom:

Teachers: You can invite unlimited teachers however only 20 can join the class

Students: 1000 Students can join each class

If you are using your personal account to create a classroom for reasons outside of our organisation, for your convenience the student limit will be reduced on a personal account to 250 students.
