This article is for teachers. This action is prohibited and blocked by the Site administrators for Students.
You'll need to invite students to classes in order for them to be able to view and take part in a class.
You can invite students to enroll in your class in 3 ways:
Send an invite link—Students click the link to join.
Send an email invite—Students can join from the email or in Classroom.
Share a class code—Students enter the code in Classroom.
Remember, you can only add students from within the organisation. That's users with an @fosbrookfolkeducation.org.uk email address. The most common format is firstname.lastname@fosbrookfolkeducation.org.uk. These accounts are only accessible from within the organisation. To add a student from a personal or other external source. Please contact the site administrators via support with the email of the student you wish to add and why, and they can create an exception rule.
Each class you create has an invite link. You can share the link with students so they can join your class.
Go to classroom.google.com.
On the class card, click More Copy invite link.
3. Paste the link into an email for your students.
When students get your email, they click the link to join your class.
Note: If you don’t see Copy invite link, make sure you have Invite codes enabled.
You can send an email invite to individual students or to a group of students. Students can accept the invite in the email or in Classroom.
Note: To invite a group of students, you can use the email alias for the Google Group. You don't have to be a member or owner of the group, but you must be able to view group members and email addresses. If you can't view this information, ask your administrator to change the permissions.
Go to classroom.google.com.
Click the class you want to invite students to.
At the top, click People -> Invite students
4. Enter the email address of a student or group.
As you enter text, an autocomplete list might appear under Search Results.
5. (Optional) Under Search results, click a student or a group.
6. (Optional) To invite more students or groups, repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. Click Invite.
Note: If you have trouble adding an email address, it might be outside of your school’s domain.
After you send the invite:
Your class list updates to show the names of invited students.
Your students can click Join in the email or on the class card.
Each class you create has a class code. You can share the code with students so they can join your class. To share the code, paste it into an email, display it with a projector, or write it on the board.
Go to classroom.google.com.
Click the class -> Settings .
3. (Optional) To copy the code so you can paste it into an email, under General, next to Class code, copy the code.
4. (Optional) To display the code with a projector, under General, next to Class view, click Display class code .
To get a larger view of the code, click Full screen
Tip: In any class, you can quickly display the code from the Stream page. Under the class name, next to the code, click Full screen . For a larger view, click Full screen again.
5. Along with the code, give the students these instructions:
Go to classroom.google.com.
On the Classes page, click Add Join class.
Enter the code and click Join.
When you share an invite link, students can tap the link to join your class.
Tap Classroom .
Tap the class -> Settings .
3. Next to Invite link, choose an option:
To automatically add the link to a message, tap Share select an app, such as Gmail.
The link is automatically added to your message.
To copy the link so you can paste it into a message, tap the link.
The link copies to your clipboard. Paste it into a message for your students.
4. Send the message with the link to your students.
Note: If you don’t see Invite link, make sure you have Student invite settings enabled.

Note: On Android and IOS devices, you can invite individual students but not groups. To invite a group, use the web version of Classroom.
Tap Classroom .
Tap the class -> People .
Tap Invite students .
4. Enter the student’s name or email address.

To add a student from the list, tap their name or email address.
6. (Optional) To invite more students, repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. Tap Invite.

3. Under General, next to Class code, choose an option:
To copy the code so you can paste it into an email, tap the code.
Write the code on the board in your class.
Along with the code, give students these instructions:
Sign in to Classroom at classroom.google.com.
On the homepage, tap Add .
In the box, enter the code that I gave you and click Join.
